BRING THE BOSS BEAR PROGRAMME TO YOUR SCHOOL
The Boss Bear Programme is a structured, evidence-informed programme supporting emotional development, behaviour and decision-making in children aged 5–9.
It focuses on building confidence, emotional awareness, decision-making and early financial understanding through engaging, practical learning.
The programme also supports PSHE, language and literacy development through structured, interactive learning, helping children develop communication, comprehension and the vocabulary to understand and express their thoughts and feelings.
Early support matters. Teaching these life skills at an early stage helps children:
• Manage challenges more effectively
• Develop positive habits
• Build confidence in everyday situations
The programme supports children before small difficulties develop into longer-term patterns, helping to build strong foundations for behaviour, wellbeing and learning, and supporting personal development in line with school priorities.
EVIDENCE INFORMED APPROACH
The Boss Bear Programme is an evidence-informed approach that supports children’s emotional development, confidence, and behaviour. It is informed by research in social and emotional learning, self-regulation, and self-efficacy, using simple, repeatable strategies children can apply in everyday situations.
This approach aligns with guidance from organisations such as the Education Endowment Foundation and CASEL.
FOR SCHOOLS & FUNDERS
The Boss Bear Programme is a structured, story-led approach to helping children build confidence, manage emotions and make positive choices.
Designed for primary-aged children (5–9), the programme provides simple, practical tools for everyday situations.
A repeatable life skills programme supporting PSHE, language and literacy, and early emotional development through early intervention.
EARLY INTERVENTION & PREVENTION
The programme focuses on early intervention, supporting children before challenges escalate.
By developing emotional awareness, confidence and decision-making skills early, the programme helps build strong foundations for future wellbeing and behaviour.
This preventative approach supports long-term positive outcomes for children in school and beyond.
WHY IT MATTERS

Supporting children early is key to building strong foundations for future wellbeing, behaviour and learning.
The Boss Bear Programme helps children develop the skills to understand their emotions, build confidence and make positive choices in everyday situations.
By focusing on emotional awareness, self-belief and decision-making, the programme supports key PSHE areas and contributes to personal development within the school environment, while also supporting language and literacy through communication, discussion and reflection.
This approach supports behaviour, resilience and readiness for life beyond the classroom, recognising that early support is essential, as small challenges can develop into more significant difficulties over time.
